I am having a problem configuring this tape drive in a i386/33 running SCO XENIX V/386 2.3.2. We have tried the Chantal Scsi Subsystem Software, with an Adaptec controller, which works on this system, but won't work on a Texas Instruments 1300 Scsi (the end destination for the tape drive), due to the TI proprietary Scsi controller on the TI. We tried the Bi-Tech Smart Scsi Host Interface Adapter Model 2120 and the Bi-Tech device driver, which didn't work because we were sent a Unix device driver instead of Xenix. [When they ported from Xenix to Unix, they lost the source for Xenix version] 8^( I am still awaiting for Bi-Tech to sent me a working Xenix device driver. However, I am running out of time. My client has been waiting two months and is beginning to wonder if his tape drive is ever going to work. What I need is a simple device driver, which will not take over the Operating System and a controller which will not care about other Scsi Host adapters in the same system. Any suggestions? If you don't feel this is of general interest, email me and will summarize. -- Lawrence Westrheim - TWG The Westrheim Group - Vancouver, BC, Canada ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ uunet!van-bc!twg!larry (604) 431-9600 (voice) | UNIX Systems larry@twg.wimsey.bc.ca (604) 431-4629 (fax) | Integration
