I have installed the OS Update UUC1 (for HDB UUCP for SCO Xenix 2.3.2) and everything seems fine except /usr/bin/cu, which no longer works - it exits with 'memory fault' whenever I try to use it. The only way I can replace it is to un-install the updates, re-install the originals, copy cu to cu.old, then install the upgrades again, and copy over the new cu with the old cu. I'd like to know if this problem is common to the upgrade. If not, and the error is on my system, where should I look? Aside: During the installation, the upgrade advises that the binaries are copied over, but the control files are copied to /tmp/uucp or left alone (words to that effect). Unfortunately, believing this led to the loss of Devices, Dialers, Poll, and Systems files....I hope that SCO will take steps to protect this vital files the next time they issue a similar update, perhaps by including them in the list of 'old' files copied to /tmp/uucp ... -- 1B Systems Management Limited, Nanaimo, British Columbia | kmcvay@oneb.uucp Canadian Distributor: FrontDoor Automated Mail Systems
