We are planning on using the following hardware for a xenix system. 12 MHz 286 4 megs of memory 80 meg scsi disk with ST02 controller some sort of intelligent 8 port board The system will have three duties 1.) allow up to 8 users to call in via UUCP and access the same >200k file 2.) allow a single instance of a foxbase program to be run periodically 3.) allow at the console to query a database of 10k records We don't anticipate much use from the console user. Is this a workable system? If not, what would you add to it to make it useable? Please reply via email. Thanks , Neal p.s. can Foxbase write a dBase III+ readable .dbf file? What about .ndx files?

I'm not sure Foxbase will run under Xenix/286 - I think you need a 386, but an not sure.
