[comp.unix.xenix] Looking for computer-controlled digital audio record/playback

Does anyone have information about broadcast-quality digital audio
record and playback systems?

I'm looking for either a PC-based, RS-232 controlled system, or an
add-in PC board which does the A/D and D/A (as well as some storage
compression?) with software drivers (either DOS or UNIX/XENIX).

Any leads will be appreciated.
