[comp.misc] Info on compression techniques wanted.

[Can't find anywhere else to post this - I thought there was a specific group]

I am looking for information of different compression techniques
available.  I am familiar with Lempel-Zev and Huffman techniques but
would welcome any pointers to papers or other sources covering different
techniques.
