Are there any present or former users of Nicolet NIC-80 Instrument Computers out there? Did anyone ever port NIC-80 application programs to other machines, like DEC 11/23 (I realize the NIC-80 I/O is unique)? We still have an NIC-80 expanded system (harddisk, etc.) that we use once in a while for FFT's and special signal processing applications. I'd like to salvage some of the custom application software (written in assembly language - not the Nicolet Basic), but run it on an 11/23 equipped with A/D and D/A boards under RT or RSX. I can't justify much effort to convert the software, however. Any comments? Can anyone give me moral support as to why we should still keep the NIC-80 running? <> Larry Lippman @ Recognition Research Corp., Clarence, New York <> UUCP: {allegra|ames|boulder|decvax|rocksanne|watmath}!sunybcs!kitty!larry <> VOICE: 716/688-1231 {hplabs|ihnp4|mtune|seismo|utzoo}!/ <> FAX: 716/741-9635 {G1,G2,G3 modes} "Have you hugged your cat today?"
