[comp.misc] Projecting winners

[This whole topic gets less and less related to "comp." and becomes more
".misc" by the microsecond.  Perhaps we could all leave it alone?  Evidently,
however, not even I can resist one poke ;-]

Why?  Is that big flag going to come down and whap you on the head for lying?

If enough people make it a point to lie to reporters (enough to start causing
bogus results), and if news agencies understand that there are enough people
who want SO LITTLE to consume the commodity of exit poll results that they
will personally try to cook the numbers if they get the chance, then maybe
the news agencies will find some other way to sell soap until the polls close
and the real results are in.
