Well, folks, if all these predictions of "Doom & Gloom" are true, I guess I can forget my plans to go back for my Masters in Comp Sci. and go back to being a D.J. :-) :-) Seriously folks, I think that the industry is in for some more upheavals, and I think the computer industry in some areas of the country will suffer some problems, but as a whole the business will continue along it's merry way. Computers are here to stay, especially P.C.'s. And that goes double for micro's in commrecial and industrial applications. Almost any appliance you but today has got a micro or two in it. I think the industry will change some more, as technology continues it's upward spiral, but mass extinction ? Nahhh. The computer industry is a mere 42 years old (I consider 1946, the year they fired up ENIAC for the first time as the year 1).
