[net.unix-wizards] Insight requested on RA81 problems

VAX 750, one each RA81 and RA60, TU78, 2 x DMF, nothing fancy.
At frequent intervals the following two lines appear on the console:

uda0:hard error, disk transfer error, unit 1, grp 0x0 hdr 0x5de34
uda0:hard error, SDI error, unit 1, event 0353, hdr 0x0

They have had one runaround with this disk already, and the above is
meaningless to DEC Field Service.  They have a binary system, and
would appreciate some predigested wisdom from anyone with experience
with it.

Not surprising that DEC Field Circus couldn't help you... what
do they know of Unix?  This is the sort of stuff we get
as well ass the the occasional dmf silo overflow.
