[net.unix-wizards] Real time UNIX look-a-likes: information sought.

    Wizardly advice is sought on a system configuration that might
    satisfy the following requirements:

      1.  Cheap  ( < $20000 ).

      2.  Allow real time recording of upwards of 20 physiological
	  channels at a sampling rate of 1000 Hz.

      3.  As UNIX as possible.

    I have some old information on VENIX.  Is anyone using it? On an
    11/23? On a (shudder) IBM PC?  Is anyone using another real time
    UNIX with flourish?  Do AT&T's recent releases offer any hope?
