[comp.misc] IBM and RISCy Business

spector@vx2.GBA.NYU.EDU (David HM Spector) (07/07/88)

Hmmm... does anyone know if Seymour Cray, the inventor of RISC, is on the net?
Has the good Mr. Cray commented on this IBM silliness? I wonder what he
has to say...?

The articles I have seen site 1974 patent applications...

(for those who don't know, Seymour Cray was designing RISC machines in the
early to mid 60's, they were called CDC-6600's... I am not sure if he called
them RISC machines, but thats what they were [and still are].)

DHMS
....looks like the justice dept. broke up the wrong monopoly... no :-).
