jac@andante.UUCP (Jonathan Chandross) (09/04/88)

Someone asked about upgrades for Multibus I systems. In the September 1 issue
of EDN, on page 113, there is a product announcement for a 68030 Multibus I
board.

The board features
	-- 20 or 33 MHZ 68030
	-- 68882
-- SCSI port running synchronously up to 4 Mbytes/sec
-- 4 Meg RAM on board, expandable to 40 Meg via a local bus implemented
	   on the P2 connector.
	-- 2 M EPROM
	-- (5) 16 bit timers
-- Custom MMU compatable with the SUN MMU. The SUN MMU features a
256 Mbyte address range and 64,000 descriptors.
	-- Daughter boards can add:
		-- 20 MFlop Math processor
		-- 1660x1280 Pixel Video Controller
	-- Forth Interpreter in ROM
	-- Monitor in ROM

Configured with a 20 MHz processor and 4 Mbytes of RAM is: $4575, quantity 100.

I have no connection with Synergy, nor have I even so much as *seen* one of
these beasties. All I know about this product is what I saw in the EDN
article. Caveat emptor.
