[comp.misc] Patricia Seybold

phil@killer.DALLAS.TX.US (Phil Meyer) (09/29/88)

We have subscribed to a monthly newsletter called "Patricia Seybold's
UNIX IN THE OFFICE" for over a year. We have judged it to be well
worth the hefty subscription cost - untill recently.

Judith S. Hurwitz has been promoted to editor-in-chief. Is it just my
imagination, or does she have a definite 'small IBM systems' slant?

My primary interest is in larger systems (super micros and up) running
UNIX applications which we have developed at Lodestar, Systems Inc.

What happened Patty? Is the influx of small PC based UNIX boxes the
driving force in the industry? Really?

I would be interested if anyone else who might have enjoyed Patty's
comments in the past has an opinion about the direction that Ms.
Hurwitz is taking.
