Hi. Does anyone have any information on the hard disk controller used by Callan Data Systems in their Unistar 100? As far as I can tell, the company is defunct, and I never got any documentation on this beast. I can boot off of floppy (it's a Unix-oid, circa 1982), but then proceed to get "busy timeouts" trying to find the Winchester, presumably for swapping purposes. The system looks to be a fairly standard Multibus design, but no useful identifying marks exist on the controller. The CPU and floppy controller are from Callan, the Multibus memory card is from Micro Memories, but that's all I can decipher. Help? Dieter P.S. For those regular readers of comp.misc, yes, this is a re-wording of my regular bi-monthly posting on this topic. I'll shut up when A) I get a response, or B) I lose net access. Surely *someone* has a box made by Callan and is willing to admit it.... -- Welcome to the island. You are number six. ...cmcl2!lanl!unm-la!unmvax!nmtsun!dieter dieter%nmt@relay.cs.net dieter@nmt.edu
