I am searching for a PC FORTRAN compiler. I have a couple of criteria, such
as FORTRAN77 compatibility, ease of use, debugging ability; in other words, a
nice compiler with good program DEVELOPMENT extras. I intend to use it for
program development, but do the production runs on a DEC VAX/VMS 5.0-?. If
you have a favorite compiler, I would appreciate if you would let me know
about it. If you know of any reviews, I would also be grateful for
information when and where they appeared. I will both post a summary of all
responses to the newsgroups and send a copy to each responded I will be able
to reach from my end (sometimes, I learned, it's tough).
I also posted this request to comp.lang.fortran, but I hope to reach different
group of people on these newsgroups. Thanks in advance for your help!
Stan
P.S. if any representative of a company producing PC FORTRAN is reading it,
please feel free to plug your company's product to me via e-mail. After all,
if your company's small, I may not be able to find out about your super-duper
PC FORTRAN otherwise. If it's big and famous, I still would like to find out
what made it so! Thanks again!
