[comp.misc] digitized voice algorithms wanted

         Has anyone information about algorithms to save
         voice digitized data in a compressed format and
         how to uncompress the data.

         The digitized row data consits of 12 bits and according
         to the literature only 3-4 bits are needed for compression.

         The points have been sampled in 10KHZ (each 100 micro-seconds).

         Any algorithms/papers/listings will be appreciated.
