GWA100@PSUVM.BITNET (Gerald Aungst) (11/15/88)
FOLLOW-UPS TO: comp.misc I have two questions which I would like to ask of all of you. Both concern your schools' operation of computer labs for students. 1) For those who are at schools where student organizations can have their own computer accounts, I would like information on how this operates. How is the account set up, who has access, etc. Official information from your computation center would be nice. 2) For those whose schools maintain microcomputer labs, particularly Macintosh labs, I would like information concerning the procedure your school uses to distribute software and startup disks. One system I am particularly interested in is that of cabling the disk to the computer itself so it cannot be stolen. I had heard that some schools do this. I need specific details, so if you cannot answer the question, please give me the name and address of someone who might be able to. Thanks, and see you at the convention! -Gerald ------- /========================\/========================================\ | Gerald W.
