The other day I was watching one of those TV programs which shows all sorts of HIGH TECH futuristic stuff that is being developed today. One of the features was an Electronic Community BBS. It is basically a BBS with terminals located in a few public buildings. It is designed for use by people who wish to post helpful hints, recipes, or ask for a solution to some household problem. It is being tested at 3 sites somewhere in California: A grocery store, a library, and some other place. It can't be dialed into like a regular BBS. Anyone can walk up to it and use it. It is probably infinitely more user- friendly than any BBS I've ever used. I was suprised that this appeared as such a "high tech" thing. Hmmmm.... A multi-user service for posting information and asking questions, it'll never work. :-) :-) car. -- Christopher A.
