Our company is currently using AES wordprocessing equipment and desperately wants to move the whole effort to an MSDOS environment. The problem is we have a large number of documents we would like to convert to ASCII and then transport them to whatever MSDOS wordprocessor is decided upon. We thought of copying the documents out to the printer port and from their into a pc using some sort of communications package. However, the ports on the AES are by no means standard - to date we have been unable to get any help with the printer port configuration. Can anyone help with either a port pin out - or some software conversion solution. Please advise by uucp mail, rather than posting - I will post the results for others who may have a similar need.
