[comp.misc] Looking for CS Humor

mlc@naucse.UUCP (Marci Cox) (02/09/89)

The student chapter of ACM at NAU has been asked to help with the
entertainment at the annual Engineering Banquet, so we're looking for
suggestions for a humerous CS-oriented skit (~5 minutes long). The
audience will consist mainly of College of Engineering faculty, and
students with 1-2 semesters of programming classes, so the level of
technicality needs to be adjusted accordingly.

One idea that has been presented is to do a take-off on the stereotype
of "REAL Programmers...". If anyone has another idea (possibly a skit
you've done) or a good quote about "Real Programmers" that would lend
itself to visual display (i.e. "Real Programmers always wear hiking
boots in the lab just in case a mountain should spontaneously appear."),
please e-mail me.

Thanks,
