[comp.misc] funny computer related anecdote

raymond@europa (Raymond Man) (03/02/89)

This happens to my colleague just several months ago. He was issued
an Arizona driver's license that expires in the year 2066. Apparently,
the date of issuance was entered with his birth date. Since the expiration
dates are 4 years after issuance dates, the program must have come up with
'66 which for this centry had past. In order that the license was not
expired when printed, the '66 in the next centry was naturally chosen. My
colleague will still be using the same license when he is 104!

Just call me `Man'.
