Hallo, I'm searching for someone who has experience in designing screen forms for blind operators. The history is: I've worked out a program for a large bank (about 1.000 employees), which holds a database of all telephone extensions and assigns them to the employees, to their working function. The program also prints the internal telephone book (alphabetically and by departments). After implementing that stuff we took the chance to support the blind telephone operator with the whole database (and added some other data, like preselection codes etc.). We use a special terminal extension hardware which is able to ''display'' one screen line (80 chars) in two Braille lines (one has 40 chars). But never before in my short life I designed something for a blind person. Is there anybody who has done it yet? (I'm actually not interested in any source code - the system I used was so kinky (Nixdorf 8850 under DIDOS 2), that I do not expect anyone throughout this planet who has precisely designed screen in this manner.) Thanks a lot. -- Peter Radig Telephone: +49 69 746972 Palmengartenstr. 1 USENET: ...!mcvax!unido!radig!peter D-6000 Frankfurt 1 West Germany
