The following is posted for a friend who doesn't have access to Usenet. /Bernie\ I'm putting together an article for a word magazine and I'm trying to make a list of software products that contains at least one entry for every character on a computer keyboard. For example, the character colon (:) appears in the product name R:BASE. I've been able to find many of the characters but there are still some holes, and I'd appreciate it if you could help me fill them in. Here are the missing characters: back-quote (`), tilde (~), dollar sign ($), cent sign, percent (%), back-slash (\), open square brace ([), close square brace (]), open curly brace ({), close curly brace (}), semicolon (;), less than (<), greater than (>), comma (,), number/pound sign (#) I would like all of the names to be those of software products. In a pinch, however, I'll take hardware product names or just generally computer-related terms. For each name I would like the following: o the complete official name of the product o a reference (preferably in an easy-to-find source) for where you saw this name in print o the name of the company that makes the product o a phone number and address for the company I'm also interested in names that contain all of the other keyboard characters (they may be better than what I've already got), names that contain characters that don't appear on the keyboard, and names that just generally strike you as peculiar or bizarre or entertaining in some way. When I'm done with the article I will post it and the final list. Thanks! -- Eric Albert gordon!eric@necntc.nec.com (617) 431-1775, ext. 272 [work] (617) 969-8787 [home]
