Has anyone heard of AX Personal Computer ?

I have recently read from the May 16th, 1989 issue of "PC Magazine" about the
AX computer and understood that it is possibly going to become a new PC 
standard in the Japanese's computer market. However the article talks little
about what AX standard is.

Can anyone tell me more about AX computer ?
