I'm new to the net and this is a good way to start. I need help gathering
credible research documentation about the decline in mainframe environments,
essentially those environments that have metamorphasized to a distributed
network environment with departmental file servers and workstation or singular
nodes (PC on a net connection) to off load mainframe functions, reduce mainframe
dependency, or eliminate it altogether. What I'm requesting is a chronological
list of what has occurred at your facility during the changeover (or what may
still be occurring), what your position of employment may be, and a way to
contact you if you could help. Please post news to comp.misc or mail to
dab@Solbourne.COM or {nbires,boulder}!stan!dab if you have an interesting
transition happening or if you have undergone such in the past. Your help
