Hello, I am calling from the Canada Remote Systems network located in
Toronto Ontario Canada, (Mississauga actually).

I have just opened a conference here dedicated to the Construction
Industry. The name of the company is Construction Access Network
address: Box 210
         2450 Sheppard Avenue East
         North York, Ontario, Canada
         M2J 4Z9

North York and Mississauga are adjacent to the city of Toronto.

The name of our new conference is CAN-2.

We want to develop a global construction network through USENET, and tie
this together with the Canada Conference Mail e-mail network, and the
U.S. Smartnet e-mail network.

We want to hear from all interested parties who would like to be
involved in this global construction e-mail network based on our
original CAN-2 conference here in Toronto, Canada.

If you wish to participate, and/or start up a conference where you are,
please reply to this message, or write to the above address.

Thankyou,

Steve Hartwell
Construction Access Network.

Re: your question msg id <8911192056.AA08144@GABOON.UUCP>
What is the Global Construction Access Network about:
how do I answer in five words or less? I can't.

We have recently started a "conference" on the Canada Remote Systems
network dedicated to the construction industry. CRS has about
8,000 direct members, + over 200 systems 50/50 Canada/U.S. it echo
mails
with. We have the start of one database, and plan more, of companies
with construction products and/or services. Files and databases will be
of the plumbing, heating, air conditioning, house building, carpentry,
electrical, etc, layman classifications for Residential people. The
files
and databases for Industrial and Commercial companies will be in the
1 to 16 construction Divisions classifications, and including Architects
and Engineers, and those indirectly involved in all aspects of the
construction industry too.

We are very much interested in products and services that are more
environment or biosphere safe. We will give much attention to properly
accredited products and services of this type.

We also plan to have online price catalogues, and hope to have online
purchasing someday too.

We are open to all aspects of the construction industry, and in this
age of global economy, we want, need to be global. We are in the process
of registering and starting our construction "usenet".

I hope this answers your short question. Please let us know who you
are, and why you asked about us.
