[comp.misc] IBM PC terms I need definitions for

I have been given the task of finding out the definitions of the
following terms:

	Characters of any size, in any of the four orientations,
	using IBM Table Code 850.

	Nimbus Q

I'm a Unix programmer who is fairly ignorant about PC things.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Even pointers to the
definitions will be helpful.
