First of all, let me ask if this is the appropriate group to post this article. If it is not, please email to me what the appropriate group for follow-ups is. Now, I am going to be upgrading memory on 2 peripherals for my Amiga computer. For one of these, I need 256K x 4 CMOS DRAM 120 ns chips (DIP). For the other, I need 256K x 4 CMOS DRAM 80 or 100 ns chips (**ZIP**). Now, in the Computer shopper, I can find several places which sell 256K x 4 CMOS DRAM chips which I assume to be DIP. What I need to know is: a) How do I tell if the chips listed are DIP or ZIP? By part #? b) If the ones in CS are DIP, I am okay there. Where can I find an inexpensive (relatively) source for the 80 ns or 100 ns ZIP chips? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott Sutherland sutherla@qtp.ufl.edu
