[comp.misc] Another easter egg

polvino@acsu.buffalo.edu (joseph s polvino) (07/22/90)

I don't know if this was posted, but I'll post it anyway. On the Mac SE, if
one presses the software interrupt button (the one on the left side near the
back) and type
		g 41d89a
the machine will display images from ROM of the creators. This works if
you're in the finder.

I'm not sure if there is a space between the "g" and the "4".

This is pre-history :-}
The TRS-80 first came cassette based. Then Radio's Hack sold an
expansion from 16 to 64K and you could use a floppy drive (WOW!) or
two. But the DOS (TRSDOS 1.0) was awful. Seems to me the author was
Randy something. Anyhow, Ft. Worth at some point (1.2?) fired him and
hired new experts. He sued, and claimed that 1.2 was copied from his
work. In court, he went to Model 1 running 1.2, hit some keys, and
flash:

		Stolen from Randy whatever

came up. Seems to me The Roach_Folks settled fast......

This is an appropriate place to tell a SiliValley joke:

How many Wonderfully Creative Apple Engineers does it take to screw in
a light bulb?

Give up?

None! The whole world revolves around them!

I mean, really, using up ROM space on this kind of ego tripping!
