Here's a question related to the PD, Shareware, Crippleware debate | discussion going on... I understand the correct meaning of PD. I agree that Crippled Demo software is essentially advertising for what is truly a commercial product. Q: What legal responsibilities are incurred by a programmer who is attempting to sell his software as commercial ? If I write some great program, release a crippled demo, charge money for the full version, and so on..., are there legal obligations that I take on ? Can anyone do this ?
