I recently acquired a number of back issues of Byte magazine in
excellent condition. Does anyone know what they are worth? (Not that
I'd sell them, but just to satisfy my curiosity).
I have all the issues from April 1976 to December 1977. They make
for fascinating reading. I happened into them at a book sale at the local
mall, being sold by the League of Women Voters. I got them for a nickel
each! Some poor guy had been collecting them, and had almost all the issues
through 1984 or so. I can just see his wife rummaging through the basement
looking for something to donate to the sale, and deciding it was time to
get rid of all those magazines cluttering up the place. I would like to see
the look on his face as she explains, "Oh those old things? I gave them away
to the book sale."
