I am interested in learning more about OCR and was wondering if there was a group that discusses character recognition. I spent a while looking through various and sundry conferences, without much luck. I am interested in both general strategies and discussion of algorithms as well a current and future products. FYI, that's OPTICAL Character Recognition... I used to work with a
ScanOptics machine a bit... watch those light bulbs!<chuckle>
