I have come into possession of a DATEC 212 300/1200 baud modem in mint condition but with no documentation/user manual. I've tried calling the telephone number for the DATEC company in Carrboro, NC but it now connected to a private residence. The problem is that on the rear panel there is a DB25 connector labeled RS232C and a DB15 connector labeled "Telephone". I would like to get the pinouts for the DB15 to a RJ11 jack (or otherwise be able to tie into my phone line). The unit is housed in a black metal casing measuring 6-5/8" wide by 11" long by 1-3/4" tall. It has seven (7) square buttons on the front labeled "DL AL ST RDL HS ANS ORG" all of which lock down when pushed except "ANS" and "ORG". I would appreciate hearing from anyone familiar with the unit via email - seals@ecsvax. Thanks in advance! This has also been previously posted to comp.dcom.telecom. *********************************************************************** Larry Seals @ Trailing Edge Software - "When it doesn't have to be the very best!"
