My config.sys file needed a line that goes: DRIVPARM=/d:0 /f:2 where "d:0" tells the system it is drive "a", and "f:2" says it's a 720k drive. d:1 would be drive 'b', d:2 would be c, etc. Thanks to all of you who helped me! Oh, this is a weird fix that works/is necessary ONLY with dos 3.2, apparently! -- <*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*> Anne (She Devil) Mitchell - Stanford Law - BBS: 415-497-5291,1200,N,8,1 No disclaimer necessary as this is *my* account, and besides - nobody would ever accuse anyone else of having these opinions anyway!
