[comp.misc] Need reference to any language-popularity surveys

I would really appreciate it if anyone could direct me to any of those 
"xx% of the world uses COBOL, etc." surveys, if any have appeared in the 
last few years.   I'm working on a thesis on imperative languages, and
it would be nice to have a "reference" to back up the observation that
these linguistic dinosaurs are still far from extinction.

Also, please reply by e-mail;  I normally don't read these groups.
