I'm looking for compression routines for an upcomming project. What I need are suggestions for different compression algorithms. Uncompress time and compressed size are the two critical factors but compression time is not, in other words, I don't care how long it takes to compress (within reason), but the faster it uncompresses the better. If anyone can give me some pointers either to books or source code (hopefully in C) it would be appericated!
