I hate to pound on the subject, but what does Gail Thackarey know about Security? First off, she is a legal "expert" (if you can believe that), not a security/computer expert. Every investigation she has been involved in has had questionable aspects regarding proceedure, informants, etc. Furthermore, the prosecution of computer criminals of late has left some question as to whether the government really knows what is going on, especially in the case of the Phrack/911 sentencing. WHy does this woman keep receiving publicity? Everywhere I look I see her name used in conjunction with computer security/hacking issues. If she can explain what KERMIT is to me in fifty words or less with even the remotest amount of accuracy, then I'll believe she knows something about the subject. ANd I don't mean the cute little green frog. I smell a career move somewhere in here. Does anyone else see what I'm talking about? Louis Giliberto louisg@vpnet.chi.il.us
