I have a private business that finally has to give into the fax craze. I have a small LAN and really like the idea of having magmedia copies of my faxes. I was wondering if anyone out there could recommend their favorite LAN Fax solutions. I would like the server to be placed on my OS/2 machine. This is a MicroChannel beast and I'm sure that this will restrict my choices. I use Windows 3.0 in my office, but my secretary has only a DOS XT. I would like for both of us to be able to send a fax directly from our word processors. I use WordStar in the DOS window. I am familiar with WordPerfect and am going to look into the Windows version. My secretary uses WordStar also. I share my office with another business and he is willing to share in the fax expense. He is also on the network as well as two salesmen(people actually). He also uses Windows, but I have no idea what word processor he uses. I was hoping that we could find some sort of printer driver that actually sent the output to a fax board rather than a printer. With this approach, it wouldn't matter what word processor he or I used. I would like to be able to use the (HP) PCL fonts and graphics in my faxes, so the printer driver should be able to convert the PCL commands that are outputted from the word processor to group III fax format. My office friend is very interested in a phonebook, so the package must contain one. I hope that this is enough info that someone can help. Thanks for your time!!! rr
