[comp.misc] nova, cuckoo's egg, cliff

robert.guerra@canrem.UUCP (Robert Guerra) (05/04/91)

RC>Last week I wrote an article praising the Nova dramatization of "Cuckoo's
RC>Egg," the true story of Cliff Stoll, a Berkeley scientist who tracked down
RC>a hacker who broke into military computers.
RC>About eight million people wrote and explained that the story I was raving
RC>about was also a book. (I didn't know that at the time.) Some of the people
RC>know Cliff and said he posts to rec.arts.books. He is a frequent speaker and
RC>has been on Good Morning America and CSPAN. He wrote a good article on the
RC>ACM jounal once. Apparently he is at Harvard now? Whatever happened to his
RC>sweetheart, the law student? I wonder which Radio Shack that was. Maybe the
RC>one on Shattuck.

Cliff recently posted on this or another conference. He said he was still
at Berkeley. He left an email address of 'cliff@cfa.harvard.edu'..which
leads on to believe that he's working on a project with Harvard?
