hello again everyone! and thanks for everyone's responses for the reboot program. just for everyone's info, one was sent to me from ...!griffin... ( i can't remember the bloke's name!!) that with a modification will work. if you are a ms-dos user then this is it!! C:\>debug -a 100 xxxx: 0100 jmp far f000:fff0 xxxx: 01nn ^C (i.e. control-c) -r cx CX 0000 :100 -n reboot.com -w -q this is guaranteed to work in ms-dos 3.0. good luck to anyone else... --c.j. bourn
