[comp.misc] List of Webster servers ?

alf@daimi.aau.dk (Nicholas Oxh|j) (06/24/91)

I am looking for a list of Webster servers/demons, that are publicly accessible
via telnet. I don't know if such a list exists. Else I would be happy for just
a single address (all I really need). I just thought that with a list I could
maybe find one close by.

I couldn't think of any other newsgroup for this question, but if you have a
better place to ask, then please tell.

I don't think any publically accessable webster servers currently
exist, due to copyright restrictions.

I seriously doubt there are *any* Webster servers anymore. You
see, those servers were based on a work by Merriam-Webster which
was used without their permission. When they found out, they were
just a tad upset, and the servers went....
