>When did Florida make the change to the license plates with the >Challenger motif? If anyone has more information about this, I'd >appreciate hearing about it... #Story that I heard was that the Challenger license plates were introduced #after the accident. Motorists can get the plates for a small extra fee, a #portion of which goes to the Challenger families. If I lived in Fla., I'd #sure get one. A few years back I saw an article on license plate collecting that said most states will send you a sample plate for a fee (either blank or with something saying it's invalid on it). Is this true in Florida and can one of you Floridians check it out for us? I'd like one to hang on my wall. ++rich +--------------------------------------------------------------------^-------+ | Rich Kolker The work goes on... For all of you who sent or posted information about the Challenger license plates, thank you. I was going to Titusville on I-4 with the MIT Concert Band when the Challenger exploded. Needless to say, I was affected. This is yet another fitting tribute to those who died. Thanks again for all your help. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |Scott Kitchen ARPA: skitchen@athena.mit.edu| |Lord Webster Fontaine Availability available| |White-Magic On-Line Cooperative upon request... | |Things to do when bored: 26) Play with matches. | -----------------------------------------------------------------------
