           STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - OPF BAY 1

Closeouts of the Shuttle Discovery continue today in
preparation for the STS-26 flight. Rollover to the Vehicle
Assembly Building is currently scheduled for no earlier than
Friday evening.

Tonight the crew hatch is scheduled to be closed and
waterproofed. The left and right hand orbital maneuvering system
pods, the upper surface of the wings and the elevon trailing edge
have been waterproofed. Closeouts of the landing gears and
stinger, or aft reaction control system, are scheduled today.
Thermal protection system operations are also underway.

           STS-27 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 2

Technicians are cleaning the radiators and a functional test
is planned next week. Communications testing is continuing this
week. Preparations are continuing for servicing the ammonia
system and bonding brackets for the closed circuit television
cameras. Orbiter modifications are continuing as scheduled.

              STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OMRF

Inspections of the auxiliary power unit gaseous nitrogen
fuel tank lines are being conducted today. Orbiter power down
modifications scheduled are crew escape and RTV heat sink
modifcations. Columbia will be moved to OPF bay 1 about a week
after Discovery rolls over to the VAB for power up testing.

STS-26 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - VAB

Technicians continue to route and connect instrumentation
cables down the sides of the solid rocket boosters. After the
routing is complete a test will be conducted to verify the
connections.

           STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - OPF BAY 1

Rollover preparations continue in the OPF for moving
Discovery to the Vehicle Assembly Building - the next milestone
toward the launch of STS-26.

Thermal protection system operations continuing include
measuring the gap between tiles, repairs of tiles, installation
of carrier panels and verification of work. The crew hatch is
scheduled to be closed this evening and its exterior will be
waterproofed.

Rollover will occur no earlier than Monday evening. Tile
operations and verification of work will continue through the
weekend.

           STS-27 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 2

Operations scheduled today include: preparations to service
the ammonia system, communications testing, installation of the
liquid hydrogen external tank 17-inch disconnect valve and
orbiter modifications.

              STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OMRF

Measurements of the auxiliary power unit gaseous nitrogen
fuel tank line were taken yesterday. Closeouts for rolling the
orbiter to OPF bay 1 will begin soon.

STS-26 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - VAB

Instrumentation cables have been packed in the cable trays
down the sides of each solid rocket booster and checks of the
connections are scheduled. The external tank and boosters were
mated last Friday and mating the Shuttle Discovery to the tank
will complete the vehicle stack.
