              STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - VAB

Engineers have resolved the problem with the assist
mechanism for opening the nose landing gear doors. A pin in one
of the linkages was not aligned properly which prevented the
assist mechanism from operating. Closeouts of the nose landing
gear are underway and Discovery is scheduled to be lifted
vertically by early afternoon.

After Discovery has been lifted vertically, it will be
another 20 hours before it has been "hard mated" to the external
tank and solid rocket boosters. When all the vehicle elements
have been connected, the Shuttle Interface Test will be conducted
to verify the connections. In addition the functional operation
of the solid rocket booster's systems will be verified through
various tests.

           STS-27 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 2

Operations planned today include servicing the water coolant
loop canisters, verifying the airlock system, preparations to
install helium tanks for the main propulsion system,
communications testing and installation of the nose cap. Orbiter
modifications scheduled today include crew escape, chin panel,
improvements to the elevon cove seal, and 17-inch external tank
disconnect valves.

              STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OMRF

Powered down operations scheduled today include RTV heat
sink, crew escape and improvements to the thermal protection
system.

STS-27 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - RPSF

The rail car cover was removed from the car containing the
left aft booster. One of the end rings has been removed and
inspections of the gain are underway. Measurements of the j-seal
and being taken on the left forward center segment today.

              STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - VAB

Engineers made final adjustments to the limit switch in the
nose landing gear door bungee mechanism last night and the gear
was stowed for flight at 8 p.m. The switch gives an indication
that the bungee is armed and ready to operate and the bungee
mechanism assists in opening the nose doors so the gear can be
deployed for landing.

Discovery was hoisted to the vertical position about 10:30
p.m. last night and is now being mated to the external tank and
solid rocket boosters. The "hard mate," when the vehicle elements
are bolted together, was scheduled to be completed by this
afternoon.

The five-day Shuttle Interface Test (SIT) is scheduled to
begin Sunday morning. During the test connections between the
orbiter, tank, boosters and the mobile launcher platform will be
verified. In addition tests the of the solid rocket booster
systems will be conducted. Upon successful completion of the SIT
tests preparations for rollout to Launch Pad 39-B will begin.
Rollout is currently targeted for 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 1.

           STS-27 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 2

Yesterday technicians installed the nose cap and will remove
associated support equipment today. Preparations for servicing
the ammonia system this weekend are underway. Verification of the
orbiter's airlock system is continuing today. Orbiter
modifications scheduled include improvements to the elevon cove
seal, crew escape and chin panel.

              STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OMRF

Orbiter modifications planned today are crew escape, RTV
heat sink, electrical modifications and closeouts for transfer to
OPF bay about July 5.

STS-27 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - RPSF

Inspections of the left aft booster and the left aft center
segments are continuing to prepare the segments for stacking in
the VAB. Stacking of STS-27 SRB segments is targeted to begin the
end of next month.

              STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - VAB

Discovery was "hardmated" or bolted to the external tank
early Saturday morning. A few problems were encountered over the
weekend such as changing out bolts used in the external tank to
orbiter attach yoke and trimming thermal blankets that were
interfering with connecting the umbilicals to the orbiter. Today
workers will complete hooking up connections between the orbiter
and the tank and the mobile launcher platform.

The Shuttle Interface Test is scheduled to begin tomorrow
which will verify the connections between the orbiter, tank,
boosters and the mobile launcher platform. In addition the
systems of the solid rocket boosters will be verified.

Rollout to Launch Pad 39-B is scheduled for 12:01 a.m.
Sunday, July 3.

           STS-27 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 2

This week, one tank set is scheduled to be installed for the
lower reactant storage and distribution system and the galley is
also scheduled to be installed. Communications testing is
approximately 80 percent complete and the target is to be
complete by the end of next month. Preparations to service the
orbiter's ammonia system are in work. The actual servicing is
planned to start in about three weeks. Orbiter modifications are
continuing.

              STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OMRF

Closeouts are underway to prepare Columbia for transfer to
OPF bay 1 next week. Also the RTV heat sink modification and an
electrical modification are underway.

STS-27 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - RPSF

Preparations are underway to buildup the left aft booster in
the Rotation Processing and Surge Facility.

              STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - VAB

Preparations for the Shuttle Interface Test (SIT) are
underway today. The test is scheduled to begin this afternoon
after the monoball connections have been made between the orbiter
and tank. During the test, connections between the tank, orbiter,
boosters and mobile launcher platform will be verified. In
addition, tests will be conducted to verify the systems of the
solid rocket boosters.

Rollout to Launch Pad 39-B is being assessed based on the
actual start of the SIT test. It is currently targeted for 12:01
a.m. Sunday, July 3.

           STS-27 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 2

The main landing gear doors will be closed today to allow
access for tile operations. A tank set for the power reactant
storage and distribution system is scheduled to be installed this
week. Electrical connections of the newly installed auxiliary
power unit are planned today. Orbiter modifications are
continuing as scheduled.

              STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OMRF

Operations are underway to prepare the orbiter Columbia for
transfer to OPF bay 1 next week. Installation of the main landing
gear tires is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Actual move
of Columbia is planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 5.

STS-27 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - RPSF

Two stiffeners bands have been installed on the left aft
booster as processing continues on the STS-27 solid rocket motor
segments. The left aft skirt is scheduled to be delivered this
weekend.
