                        STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - VAB

Loading hydrazine into Discovery's auxiliary power units is
continuing today as hypergolic operations at Pad 39-B continue.
The orbital maneuvering system pods and the reaction control
systems have been loaded with the hypergolic fuel and oxidizer.

After the pad reopens for normal work later today, workers
will begin closing out Discovery's aft compartment and the solid
rocket booster aft skirts in preparation for the Flight Readiness
Firing. The 20-second test firing of Discovery's main engines is
scheduled for July 25 with the T-0 at 7:30 a.m. Prior to the FRF,
a "wet" tanking test is will be conducted. The call to stations
for the "wet" countdown test is 11:30 p.m. Tues., July 19 and the
          T-0 would occur at 7 a.m. Friday, July 22.

Other activities planned prior to FRF are a fit check of the
crew escape pole and another FRF simulation in the Firing Room to
verify software, procedures and practice for personnel.

                     STS-27 - ATLANTIS (0V 104) - OPF BAY 2

Testing of the power reactant storage and distribution
system is continuing this week along with preparations for leak
and functional testing of the auxiliary power units. In addition
preparations for leak and functional testing of the main
propulsion system are active. Orbiter modification and thermal
protection system operations are continuing as scheduled.

                        STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OMRF

Installation of thermal blankets in the orbiter's midbody is
scheduled today. Orbiter modifications scheduled include crew
escape, RTV heat sink and improvements to the electrical power
distribution system. Columbia's payload bay doors are scheduled
          to be opened next week.

STS-27 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - RPSF

Booster "build up" activities are underway on both the left
and right aft boosters. Build up operations take about 22 days to
complete. Stacking will begin with the left aft booster scheduled
to start the end of the month. Today, mobile launcher platform 1
is scheduled to be moved into VAB high bay 3 in preparation for
          SRM stacking.
