                     STS-26 - DISCOVERY (OV 103) - PAD 39-B

Yesterday the countdown for the Wet Countdown Demonstration
Test (WCDDT) went into an unplanned 24-hour hold at the T-27 hour
mark at 3:30 p.m. It was determined an additional day was needed
to complete the necessary work prior to loading liquid oxygen and
liquid hydrogen into the power reactant storage and distribution
system (PRSD) tanks. The clock is scheduled to resume today at
3:30 p.m. at the T-27 hour mark. Aft compartment closeouts and
inspections have been completed. Workers are making final
preparations on the three main engines and will install blast
doors in the next few hours.

When the clock resumes the pad will be cleared of all
personnel for the cryogenic loading operation. Actual loading is
scheduled to start at the T-25 hour mark and is scheduled to be
          finished about five hours later.

The T-O for the WCDDT test is now scheduled for 7 a.m.
Thursday and the T-0 for the Flight Readiness Firing is 7:30 a.m.
          Sunday, July 31.

functional testing, checks of the main propulsion system, thermal
protection system operations and orbiter modifications.

                     STS-28 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - OPF BAY 1

The payload bay doors were opened yesterday and preparations
are underway to remove the PRSD tanks. Orbiter modifications
scheduled today include: crew escape, RTV heat sink, elevon cove
seal, thermal protection system operations, 17-inch disconnect
and improvements to the fuel cells.

STS-27 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - RPSF

The thermal curtain has been installed on the left aft
booster and foaming of the aft skirt ring is planned today. The
