[net.unix-wizards] KMC/DMC vs KMS package??

kdq@pthya.UUCP (12/18/84)

Am I correct in assuming that one can no longer order
a KMC11-B from DEC? I am correct in assuming that the
KMS11 package takes its place? If true, the KMS is a
three board option with a KMC, auto dialer, and a DMS.
If this is true, can a KMS11 package be used for RJE??

HELP!

Under System V the KMC11-B/DMC combination was used for RJE.
DEC no longer makes the DMC board. Instead, a KMS11-PX
can be ordered. This consists of a KMC11-B and a DMR.
The KMC11-B can still be ordered separately for DZ assist.
We were probably the first site to put the KMS11-PX into use,
we encounterd some problems with the dip switch settings and
timing. We were able to work out the problems with the help of AT&T.
