[sci.space.shuttle] Asked Questions and Shuttle Astronauts

eugene@eos.UUCP (Eugene Miya) (09/23/88)

Two days and I will be gone for 2 weeks and when I get back I will
'c' (catch-up) ignoring all postings for the next 2 weeks.
Ted Anderson (remember Ted? he controls the Internet side of this thing)
and I started this back nay a year ago. He gave me a 16 MB tape of all
SPACE postings. I started constructing the frequently asked questions.
Copious amount of NASA VAX time were spent on it (thank god, for bg).

I will only put those questions into the "asked.q" file which ARE
frequently asked questions, not those of recent memory. Ted, Henry, Dani,
and other have sent good ones in. I will add them before leaving,
but I promised myself that I let cron do the posting. Cron is currently
set for the 9th of every month, and I will not kick it sooner. I hope,
eventually, to make it quarterly.

Lastly, SHAPE UP! KEEP the DISCUSSION on SPACE, not politics,
not economics, not religion, not physics (unless these specifically
relate to SPACE). There are other newsgroups devoted to those
topics, and if you are on the Internet side and don't have access,
tough cookies, get a Unix(tm) system (not an endorsement).
I always though that comp.arch should be gatewayed to Internet
discussions (now look, see you got me doing it!).

Lastly, some time ago, I reported on a pretty good book on the
disaster. Better than that Journalist's book because it had
an accident postmortem with debris pictures. Unfortunately,
I did not get it's title, and had no need for it. Go find that.

Another gross generalization from
