A simple definition is that there are solid-fueled rocket motors and
liquid-fueled rocket engines.  I am not sure what a hybrid rocket with
solid fuel and liquid oxidizer is, but I would call it a motor.

These are the definitions I was taught and are not verified be Webster's.
