Some preliminary leak checks have been successfully conducted on the new pumps. Tomorrow, workers are scheduled to begin installing the heat shields around the main engines. The helium signature leak test of the main propulsion system is scheduled this weekend and a test will be conducted to cycle the main engine valves and the orbiter's aerosurfaces next week. Preparations for launch are scheduled to begin next week. The payload end-to-end test was successfully conducted last week verifing communications capabilities between ground stations and the TDRS/IUS. Batteries are scheduled to be installed on the Inertial Upper Stage this week.
